June is Men’s Health Month, and to celebrate Carson Valley Health is offering men a discounted screening package with a variety of recommended labs to head off problems and make sure you feel your best.
For $100, you’ll receive a comprehensive assessment that includes:
- Complete Blood Count: A blood test that measures different parts of your blood, like red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets.
- Lipid Panel: A blood test that measures your cholesterol levels, which can be key indicators of heart disease risk. This test requires an 8 hour fast.
- Comprehensive Metabolic Panel: A blood test that checks kidney and liver function, blood sugar, and overall chemical balance in your body.
- Thyroid Stimulating Hormone: A blood test that measures thyroid-stimulating hormone levels, helping to assess thyroid function and diagnose disorders.
- Thyroxine: A test that measures the level of free T4 hormone, helping to evaluate thyroid function and detect thyroid problems.
- Prostate-Specific Antigen: A blood test that measures the level of PSA, a protein produced by the prostate. Elevated levels can indicate prostate issues, including prostate cancer.
- EKG: A quick, non-invasive test that checks the electrical activity of your heart to identify any irregularities in your heart rhythm.
These screenings are offered Monday through Friday from 8AM-5:30PM on a walk-in basis. No appointment or physician order is necessary. Insurance will not be billed for these discounted screenings. Payment is required at the time of service.
