Chief of Staff
Since 2008, Carson Valley Health and the area at large have greatly benefitted from the leadership Dr. Colleen Kriss has provided. Her foresight and dedication to patient care has truly made a difference in our rural communities.
Previously, she was Clinic Director and oversaw the Carson Valley Health outpatient clinics while also working as a doctor at the Primary Care Minden Village location. To improve collaboration, she made it her mission to bring in more mid-level providers, MAs, and APRNs. The goal behind this was to ensure the Minden Village rural clinic wouldn’t be the only clinic providing family medicine, but that other rural clinic locations could also take in the need.
“At the time, we only had those providers at my location,” said Colleen Kriss, DO. “By pulling them into all the other locations, rural areas could be served better and ultimately get patients the care they needed.”
Associate Chief Nursing Officer
Andrea joined CVH in 2009 as a Registered Nurse on the Med-Surg floor and later was hired as Nurse Educator for the organization. She then went on to oversee Vitality for Life, which she had been nurse manager over since 2014 before fulfilling the role of Senior Manager of Ancillary Services with Rehabilitation Services, Medical Imaging, Clinical Laboratory and Pharmacy reporting to her. She earned her Masters in Nursing with an emphasis in leadership and went on to her doctorate in Nursing Practice which focuses on implementing evidence-based practice initiatives in the clinical setting.

In 1997, she and her husband moved to America, and Gina joined the Barton team in 2002 as a Special Projects Coordinator in their Community Clinic. She moved to CVH Clinics in 2004 producing schedules, reports, and financials. She later served as the supervisor of Job’s Peak Primary Care and the Topaz Ranch Medical Clinic. She was later promoted to manager and then director of those clinics and further expanded the clinic operations to twelve clinics in six locations, including the CVH Urgent Care and two rural health clinics which allowed the organization to serve the uninsured and under-insured population of Douglas County. Gina is certified by the National Association of Rural Health Clinics as a Rural Health Clinic Professional.
