Move Freely Again: Trusted Orthopedic Solutions for You!
If bone, muscle or joint pain is limiting your mobility and the quality of your life, we want you to know that Carson Valley Health (CVH) is here for you.
We offer nonsurgical and surgical solutions for all kinds of musculoskeletal conditions, ranging from arthritis to sports injuries. Our goal is to help reduce your pain and restore your active life, whether you have grandkids to play with or a job to do.
When you need an orthopedic doctor
We work with orthopedic doctors in our area to care for you close to home. Your doctor will work closely with our experienced staff to provide a diagnosis and treatment plan.
Here are some of the orthopedic services available at CVH:
Diagnostic imaging. Your doctor may order medical imaging tests to help make a diagnosis and treatment plan. Our medical imaging department offers digital X-rays as well as advanced tests, like CT and MRI scans.
Rehabilitation. Many people achieve significant pain relief and improved quality of life with conservative treatments, like physical therapy. The CVH Rehabilitation Center offers physical and occupational therapy services for patients with orthopedic injuries and syndromes.
Orthopedic surgery. If your orthopedic doctor recommends surgery, you can have that surgery and complete your recovery right here at CVH. We added space and new equipment to our operating rooms in 2024, and our surgical nurses and anesthesiologists are highly skilled. Here are just a few of the many procedures orthopedic surgeons routinely perform in our surgical department:
- Minimally invasive arthroscopic knee, hip and shoulder “scopes.”
- Fracture and minor trauma repairs.
- ACL and meniscus repairs and other sports medicine surgeries.
- Hand surgeries, like carpal tunnel and trigger finger release.
- Hip, knee and shoulder replacements.
Attend a joint replacement class
If you need joint replacement, your orthopedic surgeon will help you understand what to expect before, during and after surgery. In addition, we have created tip sheets and a free total joint replacement class for you and your caregiver. Reviewing these resources and attending a joint class can help ensure you achieve the best results and are prepared for your surgery.
