Carson Valley Health (CVH) is pleased to welcome Alexandria Hastings, Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), to its Cardiology team, expanding access to specialty heart care for patients. She earned her Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) degree from Simmons University in Boston, one of the nation’s oldest and most respected FNP programs.
Hastings has focused her practice on Cardiology since 2022, driven by a long-standing personal interest and a family history of cardiac disease. Her approach is holistic and education centered, ensuring patients understand not only their diagnosis but the lifestyle, emotional, and environmental factors that influence heart health. “Heart health is more than numbers on a chart,” she said. “I look at the whole person—their stress, their relationships, their lifestyle. Those factors play just as big a role in heart health as medication.” She values building strong patient relationships and helping individuals manage chronic conditions with clarity and confidence.
Joining CVH allows Alexandria to deliver high-quality cardiac care closer to home for rural residents. “I love being part of something that’s growing and making a real difference locally,” she said. “Helping expand cardiology services here means people don’t have to travel far for quality care.”
Outside of work, Alexandria loves the beauty of the Eastern Sierra and enjoys hiking with her family and two dogs. She’s also known as an outstanding baker.
