Jacque Negrete (Jack) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Nevada who has been practicing since 1998. Jack received his undergraduate degree at California State University at Dominguez Hill and his master’s degree in social work (MSW) at the University of Southern California. Jack has practiced in many settings including family and community clinics, mental health and correctional environments, residential settings for both adolescents and adults, private practice, and in-home based therapy services. Jack utilizes a framework of the biopsychosocial model, which looks at the “whole person,” meaning the connections between biological, psychological, social, and environmental factors.
Life can be difficult sometimes, and everyone may need help navigating their path. Jack can help create a blueprint along this journey of healing using evidenced based practices of cognitive based therapy, trauma focused therapy, solution focused therapy, strategic family therapy, internal family systems therapy and emotionally focused therapy. Jack is additionally trained in Christian counseling. Jack believes the connection between himself, and the client is crucial in treatment, and strives to create an atmosphere of safety, trust, acceptance, and compassion that can help a client along their path to healing.
Outside of CVH, Jack loves fishing, hiking, cooking and is an avid reader. Jack is married to his best friend of 35 years, has two happily married adult kids, and two amazing high-energy grand boys that keep Jack and his wife busy. Jack is also improving his own self-care goals, which include journaling, going to the gym, and traveling with his wife.
