What is Cleveland Clinic Connected?
Cleveland Clinic Connected is a membership program that brings together hospitals and health systems committed to providing high-quality care and continuous improvement.
Carson Valley Health joined Cleveland Clinic Connected through its affiliation with Barton Health, an existing member of the program. Following a review of quality, safety, and patient experience practices, Carson Valley Health was invited to participate, reflecting our strong commitment to exceptional patient care.
What does this program mean for me as a patient?
Carson Valley Health has a long history of serving our community with high-quality, patient-centered care. This collaboration creates new opportunities for Carson Valley Health team members to learn from and work alongside one of the nation’s leading healthcare organizations while continuing to provide care locally.
Patients will continue to receive care from the local healthcare team they know and trust, while benefiting from our ongoing efforts to strengthen services in our region.
Through Cleveland Clinic Connected, Carson Valley Health now has access to:
- Educational resources created by top specialists
- Honed clinical best practices developed by Cleveland Clinic
- Support for developing and expanding important services like cancer and heart care
Over time, this collaboration will help us expand services, keeping care local for certain specialty care needs.
How does this benefit our community?
Carson Valley Health is expanding and improving diagnostic and treatment protocols with access to Cleveland Clinic’s innovative best practices in areas like:
- Cancer care – Through this collaboration, we’re exploring opportunities to strengthen cancer care services and support more patients receiving care closer to home whenever appropriate.
- Heart care – We’re evaluating opportunities to further broaden cardiology services and support the growing healthcare needs of our community.
- Additionally, as members of the Cleveland Clinic Connected program, Carson Valley Health’s physicians and staff will be able to access educational opportunities, such as regular safety, quality, and patient experience forums hosted by Cleveland Clinic teams — helping support ongoing learning, professional development, and the continued advancement of patient care.
Will Cleveland Clinic doctors work at Carson Valley Health?
No. Your care will continue to be delivered by Carson Valley Health physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and staff. Cleveland Clinic Connected provides guidance, education and best practices that help support our local teams.
Is Carson Valley Health being bought by Cleveland Clinic?
No. Carson Valley Health remains a community-based, non-profit hospital managed in partnership with Barton Health. We are not being bought, merged, or managed by Cleveland Clinic.
Does this mean I have to travel to Cleveland for care?
No. The goal of this membership is to bring more high-quality care to you — right here in Northern Nevada.
Will this affect my insurance or the cost of my care?
The cost of your care will not change, and there are no changes to Carson Valley Health’s insurance-billable services, because of the Cleveland Clinic Connected membership. Carson Valley Health continues to focus on providing high-quality, affordable care to our region.
