Carson Valley Health welcomes Tatiana Parker, Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), to its gastroenterology team. Her addition will help expand access to care and reduce appointment wait times for patients in the community. Tatiana brings eight years of nursing experience in both Northern Nevada and Florida. Her connection to Carson Valley Health dates back several years, when she worked at the organization as a Certified Nursing Assistant. She now returns as an Advanced Practice Provider dedicated to caring for her community.
A Carson Valley native, Tatiana returned to the area to be closer to family and continue her career in the community she calls home. She was drawn to Carson Valley Health by its collaborative culture, welcoming team, and commitment to exemplary patient care.
Tatiana developed a passion for gastroenterology during her clinical training and chose to pursue the specialty after completing her graduate education. “As our second brain, the digestive system affects our overall health so much more than people realize,” she says. “When it’s not functioning well, it can impact nearly every part of a person’s life.”
Her approach to patient-centered care focuses on building trust with her patients and educating them about their health. “This is my community, and caring for the people who live here is incredibly meaningful to me,” she says. “There’s something special about helping my neighbors stay healthy.”
When she is not at work, Tatiana loves to travel with her family. She and her husband homeschool their son and daughter and enjoy incorporating educational opportunities into their family travels.
