Kristi McCune, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 21 years of experience in the behavioral health field. Born in Klamath Falls, Oregon, and raised in Reno, Nevada, Kristi brings both deep professional expertise and a strong sense of community to her work.
Kristi graduated from Earl Wooster High School before earning her Bachelor’s degree in Applied Psychology from Oregon Institute of Technology. She later obtained her Master of Social Work degree from the USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work.
Her career in behavioral health began as a residential specialist, where she developed a strong foundation in direct client care. She went on to serve as a case manager and later as a therapist, gaining comprehensive experience across multiple levels of care.
Throughout her career, Kristi has been especially passionate about serving individuals living with Serious Mental Illness (SMI). She is deeply committed to uplifting underserved populations and serving as a strong, compassionate advocate for those whose voices are often unheard. Her professional experience spans inpatient residential facilities, Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHCs), rural outpatient settings, and private practice environments.
Kristi is dedicated to providing client-centered, trauma-informed care that fosters resilience, empowerment, and lasting change. Her approach is grounded in respect, collaboration, and a genuine belief in each individual’s capacity for growth and recovery.
Outside of her professional work, Kristi treasures time spent with her family, especially at gatherings and celebrations. She enjoys attending musical festivals and concerts, participating in caravans, and spending as much time outdoors as possible exploring the beauty of the region she proudly calls home.
