Carson Valley Health is pleased to welcome David Pritchett, Physician Assistant – Certified (PA-C), to its Urology team. David brings a broad and unique clinical background spanning emergency medicine, urgent care, and addiction medicine, offering patients a comprehensive, compassionate approach to urologic care.
David’s practice is grounded in a whole-person philosophy, shaped by years of experience treating patients in high-acuity and underserved settings. He emphasizes addressing immediate medical concerns and also understanding each patient’s individual needs. “Health is a whole person thing,” said Pritchett. “We can treat the immediate complaint, but true care considers the patient within their family and community system.”
Originally from Meru, Kenya, David grew up in a cross-cultural environment where his parents served as missionaries. David studied to be a Physician Assistant at Harding University in Arkansas. Since then, he has practiced in many medical settings, including addiction medicine at a detox center where he cared for unhoused individuals experiencing substance use disorders. David joins the Urology department, drawn to the opportunity to work alongside James Cunningham, MD.
Outside of the clinic, you will find David running ultramarathons and wildlife tracking. He is also looking forward to exploring winter sports such as cross-country skiing in the Sierra.
David Pritchett, PA-C, is accepting new patients at Specialty Care Ironwood in Minden. To make an appointment, call 775.782.1610.
