Carson Valley Health (CVH) is a comprehensive community healthcare system, providing high-quality healthcare close to home for the residents of Carson Valley and surrounding areas. Through a joint partnership with Barton HealthCare System of South Lake Tahoe and Renown Health of Reno, CVH serves patients as their partner in health and wellness. Fall 2024 CVH opens the doors of its multi-million-dollar, multi-year expansion increasing its service offerings to its community. In 2023, in celebration of its 30th anniversary, CVH launched a brand refresh and new name.

- 2021 Groundbreaking kicked off the expansion in October
- 2022 Remodeled and expanded Rehabilitation & Outpatient Therapy Center Grand Opening in April
- 2022 Successful first surgery using Da Vinci Robotic Assisted Surgical System at CVH in August
- 2024 Expansion Grand Opening
Key Expansion Highlights
- Emergency room moved to the south side of the new building.
- Cardiac catheterization lab (cath lab) with dedicated full-time cardiology providers.
- State-of-the-art diagnostic imaging department includes the latest technology in CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, X-ray.
- Emergency department increase to 12 exam rooms, two large trauma rooms, & two additional observation rooms.
- 25 all-private inpatient hospital rooms with the latest in technology including Smart Beds
- Expanded surgical center with robotic-assisted surgical systems, two GI suites, & sterile processing unit.
Expansion total cost $40.1M.
Serving Our Community
In 2022, Carson Valley Health provided 43,500 primary care visits, 12,500 emergency room visits and ~6,000 surgeries. The staff has also provided more than 1,700 hours of community service.
