CVH Foundation Scholarships

Have a Hand in a Healthier Future

The CVH Foundation’s mission is to provide resources to maintain and improve local healthcare services. One of the most in-demand resources is highly trained healthcare personnel. The CVH Foundation scholarships are intended to help students pursue healthcare careers that will improve the local healthcare systems and the healthcare industry overall.  
Two scholarships are available annually. Applications are accepted from January through the first week of April. Up to $10,000 in total scholarship funding is available, which may be distributed among multiple recipients.
 
THE JOURNEY BEGINS – ENTRY INTO HEALTHCARE SCHOLARSHIP
Scholarship for Douglas County high school students pursuing a degree in a healthcare field.  
 
Criteria
  • Resident and student of Douglas County, NV.  
  • Proof of acceptance into an accredited healthcare program. 
  • Minimum 3.0 grade point average. 

THE JOURNEY CONTINUES – HEALTHCARE SCHOLARSHIP 

Scholarship for residents of Douglas County, NV who have already completed a year or more of a higher education, healthcare related degree and are working towards the successful completion of their program. Award recipients may re-apply in subsequent years.
 
Criteria
  • Resident of Douglas County, NV.  
  • Proof of acceptance into an accredited healthcare program. 
  • Minimum 3.0 grade point average. 
  • Demonstrate an interest in serving healthcare needs of Northern Nevada. 
Scholarship funds will be distributed to the educational institution for tuition and related fees.  
The scholarship application deadline is April 3, 2026. Applications and supporting documents must be electronically submitted to the CVH Foundation at foundation@carsonvalleyhealth.org or personally delivered to the CVH Foundation office at 897 Ironwood Dr., Minden, NV 89423.
